Mercedes, AMG Motorsport presents its Performance, Junior Drivers for 2026

Three weeks after honouring the most successful teams and drivers of 2025 at the brand’s internal ‘Champions United’ gala, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is already looking ahead to the 2026 season. Next year, the performance and sports car brand from Affalterbach will once again be striving for global success, relying on a high-calibre driver line-up of ten performance drivers and three junior drivers.

Lin Hodenius will be a permanent member of the AMG line-up from 2026 onwards

The core squad comprises thirteen drivers from nine different countries. New to the line-up is 19-year-old Dutchman Lin Hodenius. He made his first appearances in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in 2025, including in the FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Hodenius impressed with strong performances and recommended himself for the AMG squad. Canadian Daniel Morad is no longer part of the permanent line-up. In 2025, he competed in a total of ten races for the brand in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the GT World Challenge Asia, achieving six top-10 finishes.
